The November edition of the Journal of Health Care for the Poor and Underserved is now available on-line. This edition has nearly three dozen articles in several different categories, including Policy, Problems, and Solutions. We would especially like to draw your attention to the article on Colorectal Cancer by a team that included ACU Board Member Jim Hotz. The article, Reported Use of Electronic Health Records to Implement Evidence Based Approaches to Colorectal Cancer Screening in Community Health Centers, is a terrific example of how important it is to use electronic health records to implement evidence-based approaches for cancer control, and how poor data and cumbersome systems are inhibiting this effort.
ACU members can access the full edition and all articles through our new membership portal.
