The Office of Minority Health  – offers patient education materials in English, Spanish and various other languages. Go to Publications, then Consumer Publications.

The Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality (AHRQ) offers free clinician and consumer guides that compare the benefits and risks of medications and/or other therapies for a wide range of health problems such as type 2 diabetes, gestational diabetes, osteoarthritis, osteoporosis, rheumatoid arthritis, depression, and rental artery stenosis.  The guides are based on the results of AHRQ’s comparative effectiveness research program. Ambulatory care practices and hospitals may request up to 500 free copies of the clinician and consumer guides, and individual clinicians up to 200 copies, stock levels permitting. Audio versions of many guides also are available.
