Join Kellan Baker of the Center for American Progress to learn more about Out2Enroll, a collaborative between the Sellers Dorsey Foundation, the Center for American Progress and the Federal Agencies Project, to educate the LGBT community about the Affordable Care Act.

Learning Objectives
By the end of this webinar, participants will be able to:
1. Describe the major health and healthcare access disparities affecting the LGBT population, including specific subpopulations such as transgender people
2. Describe the provisions of the Affordable Care Act that have particular relevance for addressing these disparities
3. Explain specific strategies that consumer assistance personnel and other health reform implementors can use to effectively connect with LGBT community members

Kellan E. Baker, MPH, MA
Kellan Baker is Associate Director of the LGBT Research and Communications Project at American Progress, where his work includes improving data collection about LGBT populations, working with the Department of Health and Human Services on a range of LGBT health policy priorities, and advancing gay and transgender issues internationally. In addition to his federal policy work, Kellan directs the LGBT State Exchanges Project, which partners with LGBT and consumer health advocates in numerous states to advance health equity for LGBT communities in the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. The project focuses on insurance market reforms, consumer engagement, and data collection in the establishment of the new Health Insurance Marketplaces, as well as the expansion of Medicaid. Through CAP and the LGBT State Exchanges Project, Kellan is also a founding steering committee member of Out2Enroll, an initiative that seeks to connect LGBT community members with their new coverage options under the Affordable Care Act. Kellan holds a B.A. with high honors from Swarthmore College and an M.P.H. in global public health policy and an M.A. in international development from George Washington University, where he was elected to the Delta Omega Public Health Honors Society.
